Enterasys Networks Named Market Leader in Switch-Based Network Security

ANDOVER, MA -- Sept 29, 2004 -- Enterasys Networks(R) (NYSE: ETS), the Secure Networks CompanyTM, today announced that after in-depth review of the strategies and product capabilities of leading network equipment vendors, Forrester Research has identified Enterasys as the market leader in its first Forrester WaveTM report on switch-based network security.
In the report released today, "Securing the Campus Network," Forrester analysts examined the business productivity and technology advantages fueling the trend of replacing isolated network appliances with an integrated campus network security system built around third-generation switches. Forrester says the keys to effective security include:
