iMergent Accelerates Introduction of Fifth Sales Team to Capture Growing Demand
18 October 2004
OREM, Utah -- Oct. 18, 2004 -- iMergent, Inc.(AMEX:IIG), a leading provider of eCommerce and software for small businesses and entrepreneurs, announced it has added a fifth team to its existing sales force sooner than previously scheduled to meet strong demand.
The company had planned to initiate this team in the first half of calendar 2005. Instead, the people who will comprise the fifth team have been training with the existing teams over the past three months to fully develop their skills, and will be deployed in November. A sixth team will be hired and trained for deployment in the first half of next calendar year.
Don Danks, chairman and chief executive officer, stated, "Our growth strategy is to identify and capture market opportunities, such as the active international market. During the fiscal fourth quarter of 2004, we hosted 164 workshops, up from 103 in the fourth quarter of 2003. Thirty-seven of the workshops we hosted were in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom and generated approximately $4.9 million in revenue -- compared to no international workshops in the fourth quarter of 2003. With this success in mind, we have added a fifth team to our sales force to address the growing domestic market and strengthen our push into the quickly growing international market. In addition, in the first half of calendar 2005, we are planning to hire and train a sixth team to further extend our sales outreach."
"The accelerated schedule for the expansion of our sales force is an investment in our company's growth," said Brandon Lewis, president. "We believe the larger sales force will capture existing demand in the marketplace and better leverage iMergent's existing corporate and support infrastructure."
