Fast Growing Network Operator Extends Footprint in TeleCity Data Centre

London -- 05 Nov 2004 --TeleCity (LSE: TCY), the leading European provider of colocation and data centre services, today announced that specialist network operator 8el (pronounced ‘A-Tel’) has extended its relationship with TeleCity to house a greater proportion of its critical server infrastructure within TeleCity’s London Dockland facilities. 8el has signed a three year contract and will take an additional suite of space and services.

8el provides service-enabled voice and data networks to UK businesses through a specialist high performance, resilient and secure network. It provides a full range of high quality services to its customers from direct voice connectivity, ISP and WAN access.

8el previously held one suite of space within TeleCity. However, due to sustained customer growth and customer satisfaction, it decided to purchase an additional suite of space in which to house its infrastructure. 8el attributes much of its success to its emphasis on providing maximum uptime, industry leading network performance and support. It is therefore crucial that 8el houses its IT infrastructure in a fully serviced and protected environment. Because TeleCity has access to a network of national and international carrier and IP services, it was the obvious choice of data centre partner. Furthermore, the presence of all the international carriers within TeleCity means 8el can take advantage of the large choice of networking and peering opportunities within TeleCity’s London Dockland facilities.
