AT&T Awarded $15 Million Networking Contract By Henry Schein

NEW YORK -- AT&T announced today it has won a $15 million, three-year networking contract to provide a wide range of networking solutions to streamline voice, data, and Internet services for Henry Schein Inc. (NASDAQ "HSIC").

Henry Schein is the largest distributor of healthcare products and services in the combined North American and European markets. AT&T will further integrate Henry's Schein's U.S.-based distribution operations and provide employees, known as Team Schein Members, secure, high-speed online access to proprietary databases and applications.

The networking solution will enhance Henry Schein's supply chain management by providing the company with a real-time view of customer orders, fulfillment and inventory. It also supports Henry Schein's mission to provide outstanding service to a customer base encompassing more than 450,000 office-based practitioners worldwide.

Additionally, AT&T will provide local and long-distance voice services to Henry Schein's international locations. The company operates in 17 countries.

AT&T supports Henry Schein's business continuity plan by providing AT&T ACCU-Ring® Network Access Service to integrate the company's data centers with its core networking infrastructure. AT&T ACCU-Ring is equipped with automatic restoration capabilities in the event of a cable cut or other failure.

AT&T will integrate Henry Schein's voice and data services through AT&T OneNet® Service, which consolidates networking services into a single contract, with discounts across all services. Through the secure AT&T BusinessDirectÒ portal, Henry Schein gains online access to tools that provide real-time reports on network performance and direct access to AT&T's ordering, billing and payment, status, inventory and trouble management.
