180solutions Boosts Revenue and Visibility for Leading Web Publishers

14 December 2004

BELLEVUE, Wash., -- Dec. 14, 2004 -- 180solutions, a provider of search marketing solutions, today announced the addition of more than 10 partners to its Zango Network of free, premium content. Since its launch earlier this year, more than 30 Web publishers have joined Zango and experienced increased exposure for their original content while enjoying a new, recurring revenue stream.

Zango addresses the challenges Web publishers often face: how to pay for the potentially prohibitive costs of hosting, Website development, maintenance and production. Zango partners receive revenue generated from the Zango Search Assistant, which delivers advertisers' Websites to users when they search and shop online. As a result of partnering with Zango, more than 30 Web publishers have turned what was once a cost into a profit center, drawing revenue from their Zango-sponsored content.

Until Zango, most Web publishers had no way to generate revenue other than by presenting unrelated and distracting advertisements, often diluting the user experience and frustrating site visitors. In the premium content areas Zango sponsors, publishers are able to remove banners and pop-ups from their Websites. Through its advanced targeting technology, Zango decreases the number of ads consumers are shown, while increasing the relevance of the offers and information delivered.

"For years Web publishers have struggled with the challenge of providing content with little to no revenue to show for it," said Brian Burke, Zango senior director of business development. "With Zango, content owners can make money through their passion and give visitors a compelling, free experience. By continuing to work with new partners and expanding our network of leading entertainment sites, we are positioned to significantly change and improve the way content is monetized online."

"Our partnership with Zango has provided us with a consistent new revenue stream and allowed us to reduce intrusive forms of advertising," said John Beatty, founder of the Aim Buddy Icon network Wabby Works. "Their model focuses on the quality of the end-user's experience and on building long-term relationships. As a content publisher, I find this to be very unique and valuable."
