Enterasys Networks Enters End-User Leasing Agreement with GE Commercial Finance

ANDOVER, MA -- January 25, 2005 -- Enterasys Networks (NYSE: ETS), the Secure Networks CompanyTM, has entered into an agreement with GE Commercial Finance, Vendor Financial Services to provide lease financing for Enterasys' full line of Secure NetworksTM products and solutions. The agreement covers financing for end-user customers in the United States who purchase Enterasys products directly from Enterasys or through its partners.

"Having Vendor Financial Services as our preferred financing provider will enable more enterprises to bring the benefits of Secure Networks into their businesses," said Michael Rivers, executive vice president of worldwide sales and services for Enterasys Networks. "This agreement will make it easier for our customers to finance their network purchases with the confidence and flexibility that comes from doing business with a well-known leader in business financing."

Enterasys and Vendor Financial Services will work closely to develop and implement marketing plans to promote the companies' leasing capabilities to current and prospective customers. GE also will provide training to Enterasys sales representatives and the company's resellers on how to deliver the benefits of leasing to customers in support of continued growth.
