EDISON, N.J. – J.M. Huber Corp. has selected AT&T to provide a managed hosting solution that merges operations from two company-owned data centers into a single AT&T Internet Data Center (IDC). Huber is a family-owned corporation that provides products and services in three sectors: engineered materials, natural resources and technology-based services.
Under terms of the $2.5 million, three-year agreement, AT&T will host and provide around-the-clock monitoring of Huber’s critical online applications at AT&T’s Atlanta-area IDC. The AT&T solution supports Huber’s application networking requirements and frees the company’s data center personnel to focus on applications development, instead of data center maintenance and management.
“After touring one of AT&T’s IDCs, we were convinced AT&T offered the best environmentally redundant conditions and the most highly trained personnel to work on our behalf,” said Vincent Solano, Huber’s chief information officer. “We decided AT&T had the expertise and experience to manage our data center applications better and more cost-effectively than we could do it ourselves.”
Huber can monitor the performance of its network and applications through the secure AT&T customer portal, AT&T BusinessDirectâ, which provides operational efficiencies including around-the-clock online access to real-time reports on network performance and direct connection to trouble management systems.
