AT&T China Achieves Cisco Silver Certified Partner Status
8 March 2005
Beijing -- AT&T today announced that its China subsidiary, AT&T China Co. Ltd. with offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, has been certified as Cisco Silver Systems Integrator for the mainland China market. This certification recognizes that AT&T has passed stringent technical support and system integration requirements, and is able to resell Cisco products in China. Customers will benefit from the combined expertise, skills, and best-in-class solutions from two world-renowned leaders in networking technology.
Today's announcement builds upon the existing formal relationship of the two companies in the U.S. and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) where AT&T and Cisco have a go-to-market alliance aimed at offering joint solutions to enterprise and multinational customers.
In addition, AT&T and Cisco said they are working together in the Asia Pacific region to target global and regional enterprises through marketing campaigns to meet the growing demand for advanced networking solutions.
According to Steve Lowe, vice president of AT&T Business, Asia Pacific, the close co-operation with Cisco is part of AT&T’s global strategy designed to drive continuous innovation, while meeting the increasingly complex networking requirements of global and regional corporations. “AT&T and Cisco have been working together for some time,” said Mr. Lowe. “Many of our services, including our flagship AT&T IP-VPN, have the Cisco Powered Network designation, which means that we operate these services over a network built end to end with Cisco equipment.”
"We are already serving more than three hundred customers in China, including a large number of major global corporations. Having achieved Cisco Silver Certified SI Partner certification, AT&T can make it easier for customers to find complete one-stop-shop solutions, based on AT&T and Cisco’s state-of-the art networking products and services, which deliver efficiency and productivity enhancements to multinational companies," added Mr. Lowe.
“One of the primary benefits of our Cisco Certified Partner program is that it allows Cisco and the companies we work with to benefit from our combined strengths, while helping both companies expand our sales channels and enhancing customer experience,” said Chris Heckscher, Managing Director, Global Service Provider, Cisco Asia Pacific. “We’ve enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship with AT&T for many years and we’re excited about the opportunity to broaden our cooperation. This initiative will enable us to provide our respective customers with a host of benefits, including convenient access to a wide range of networking products and services and integrated solutions from two of the world’s most renowned global networking companies.”
AT&T and Cisco are currently working together to develop sales and marketing programs in other markets across the Asia Pacific. Customers can expect to enjoy high-quality AT&T end-to-end managed services and innovative Cisco networking products and applications, fully-integrated into a single solution tailored to the needs of global and regional corporations.
