SAN FRANCISCO -- June 9, 2005 -- AT&T today announced it has been selected by San Francisco-based law firm Littler Mendelson to provide next-generation Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services supporting the firm’s 400 attorneys at office locations in 28 major metropolitan areas across the United States.
Littler Mendelson is the largest employment and labor law firm in the U.S. exclusively representing the management needs of the nation’s employers.
The rollout of the new VoIP network includes deployment, implementation and training for the new IP services, and is part of a larger three-year, $1.2 million contract Littler Mendelson awarded to AT&T for a range of voice and data services.
The new IP-based service continues Littler Mendelson’s commitment to seek out the most innovative technology for use throughout its enterprise. For example, the firm recently worked with AT&T to upgrade its underlying voice and data network to a new, highly efficient IP-based infrastructure, allowing Littler Mendelson to easily implement and scale new technologies, like VoIP.

Migrating to a centralized IP telephony infrastructure allows Littler Mendelson to manage the new network directly from its headquarters, eliminating the need for on-site hardware support at every office location. It also will help speed back office operations, enabling voice capabilities for new facilities to come online faster.
