PixelMEDIA Names John Eckman Director of Application Development

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. -- July 12, 2005 -- PixelMEDIA, Inc., a full service consultancy offering integrated strategy, design, and implementation services for Web, multimedia and IT initiatives, today announced it has named John Eckman Director of Application Development. Bringing extensive knowledge in user experience, project management, and software engineering, Eckman will be responsible for directing and growing PixelMEDIA's applications practice.

Reporting directly into Chief Operating Officer Thomas Obrey, Eckman will work with PixelMEDIA's development team to ensure they are providing the highest levels of quality to the firm's client base, through the use of proven software engineering principles and industry best practices. John will also lead the development and roll out of additional offerings, including new custom solutions, third-party partnerships with established market leaders, and strategic applications of new technologies, languages and frameworks.

Prior to joining PixelMEDIA, Mr. Eckman spent five years in multiple roles at Molecular, a technology consulting firm. While at Molecular, Mr. Eckman led Web strategy and implementation projects for Fortune 500 companies in financial services, healthcare, retail, and manufacturing. Most recently, as a Principal Consultant in Software Engineering, he was the technical program lead for a major insurance client, managing multiple simultaneous development projects and the maintenance of a complex multi-tiered technical infrastructure. Eckman will be leveraging this experience to grow the PixelMEDIA applications group by enhancing the breadth and depth of its offerings and expanding into key vertical industries.

In addition to being a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Eckman received a PhD from the University of Washington and a BA from Boston University. He is also concluding graduate studies on Information Systems and Software Engineering at Northeastern University.
