RagingWire Names John Hoffman as its New CEO

SACRAMENTO, California -- Oct 18, 2005 -- RagingWire Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (RES), a leading IT outsourcing provider of infrastructure, software as a service, and on-demand solutions, today announced it has named John Hoffman as its new chief executive officer. Hoffman, former CIO and general manager of eBusiness at Applied Materials, Inc., replaces George Macricostas, who has been appointed executive vice chairman of the board of directors and chairman of the strategic alliance and planning committee. George Macricostas co-founded RES with Constantine “Deno” Macricostas, chairman of the board of directors, and Yatish Mishra, president and CTO, in May 2000.

The RES board of directors unanimously selected Hoffman for his extensive experience and business leadership in the technology community. During his 17 year tenure at Applied Materials, Hoffman held various key senior positions including, chief information officer, general manager of the Etch Business Group, president and general manager of the Wafer Inspection Division, general manager of the Global Intel Account, and general manager of the Global Service Division. Hoffman is a member of Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business Advisory Board and the Industry Initiatives for Science and Math Education (IISME) Advisory Board. Mr. Hoffman is a 1982 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and completed the Stanford Executive MBA Program in 1992.
