Experience, Inc. and Microsoft Expand Interactive Marketing Program

14 February 2006

OSTON -- Feb. 14, 2006 -- Experience, Inc. today announced that Microsoft(R) has expanded its interactive advertising relationship with Experience to promote its Visual Studio Express 2005(R) product suite. As an extension of the pilot program Microsoft initiated with Experience in 2005, Experience will deliver comprehensive experiential marketing programs to help Microsoft build loyalty among the next generation of technical talent.

Last May, Experience rolled out Beta University, a promotion directed at college students and recent college graduates that invited them to download and use Microsoft Visual Web Developer Express 2005 Beta Edition software to design and build a unique Web site. The candidate who presented the most compelling site was offered an internship and all-expense-paid trip to help the New Zealand Snowboard Training Group to develop its new Web site, www.nzski.com (while taking snowboarding lessons).

"We are thrilled to work with industry-leading companies like Microsoft to develop innovative marketing programs that appeal to college students," said Jennifer Floren, founder and CEO, Experience, Inc. "We look forward to expanding our relationship with Microsoft to deliver programs that not only achieve exceptional business results, but also provide once-in-a-lifetime career development opportunities to our members."

Due to the success of the pilot program, which resulted in 10,000 product downloads, Microsoft has expanded the program in 2006 to include three new job shadow opportunities in the areas of Web site development, gaming, and security. Experience members will apply for the 'Exclusive Experiences' online by downloading Microsoft Visual Web Developer Express Edition, completing a brief application form, and using Visual Web Developer to illustrate why they are the best candidates for the job shadow opportunities. Applications can range from simply hosting a resume on a Web page or building an entire Web site from scratch. Interested students can apply at www.experience.com.

"Experience developed and drove a high-impact interactive marketing program for our Visual Web Developer Beta last year, handling creative development through implementation," said Cristina Telleria, Microsoft Academic Developer Marketing. "Based on the program's demonstrated success and Experience's exceptional reach into the college market, we are excited to broaden our advertising relationship with Experience to offer more Exclusive Experiences in 2006."
