InterOP's Carrier Content Management System Launched by Cellcom

1 March 2006

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- March 1, 2006 -- InterOP Technologies' Carrier Content Management System (CCMS), now allows Cellcom's subscribers in Wisconsin to access endless resources, such as entertainment, stock quotes, news and weather through their handsets. As a result of a 'first-of-its kind' agreement with a Viacom property, WFRV in Green Bay, Cellcom subscribers now also have links to thirteen sections of local content.

InterOP Technologies' CCMS platform provides easy integration of real-time syndicated content from national and local sources. CCMS allows Cellcom and other carriers to deliver news, entertainment and information from diverse content publishers, including local schools, organizations and news outlets. "We have realized the need to provide our customers local content that is relative to their daily lives," said Cellcom's Product Research and Development Specialist Nic Beining. "Our extensive local CDMA 1X network is an ideal way to deliver this content. As this is just the beginning of our partnership, we are investigating other services as technologies and networks evolve."

"Thanks to CCMS, Cellcom's on-the-go, data-capable, subscribers are now able to access micro-content from the WAP deck on their handset that they would normally get in an Internet environment," said InterOP Technologies President John Dwyer. "Our platform is completely configurable and flexible allowing carriers like Cellcom to customize how the content is presented and selected as well as monetize their WAP deck."

Dwyer explained that InterOP Technologies' Carrier Content Management System also provides a unique branding opportunity for carriers, like Cellcom.

"It not only gives Cellcom the control to customize the presentation of their WAP deck, but they can turn on and off content feeds and access new feeds independently," Dwyer said. "With CCMS, our carriers can sell access to their customers or space on their WAP deck, which is the next step in the evolution of content revenue."
