MX Logic, Inc., a leading provider of innovative email defense solutions that ensure email protection and security for service providers, enterprises, government organizations, resellers and their customers, today announced the appointment of Michael LeBlond as its vice president of business development. A seasoned professional with successful tenure at companies such as WebEx, Sun Microsystems and Apple Computer, and proven experience building strategic partnerships with industry leaders that include AT&T, NTT and France Telecom, LeBlond will focus on targeting and managing new business initiatives, including worldwide service provider relationships.
"We're thrilled to have Michael join our team," said John Street, CEO, MX Logic, Inc. "As our market momentum and broad customer base continue to grow, Michael's excellent and proven business development experience with Fortune 1000 and Tier 1 service provider markets and leadership traits make him a strong addition to MX Logic. At MX Logic, Michael will leverage his 20-plus years of experience to lead our service provider strategies with the telecommunications, ISP, Web hosting and wireless markets."
LeBlond was most recently vice president of business development at WebEx where he led WebEx's Telco business development initiatives during the company's growth from $2 million to $200 million, gaining a dominant 64 percent market share, along with helping WebEx reach its 2000 IPO. LeBlond built WebEx's telecom channel program from the ground up, securing relationships with industry-leading service providers such as MCI, British Telecom, NTT, France Telecom and Telia. Prior to WebEx, LeBlond held senior management positions at Sun Microsystems, Apple Computer and Wang Laboratories. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Denver.
"As service providers and enterprises continue to look to protect their employees and consumer email end-users from spam, viruses and other email threats, comprehensive and cost-effective email defense is critical. At the same time, service providers are looking to generate revenue from the sale of extensive, carrier-grade reliable email defense services to their business customers and reseller network," said LeBlond. "MX Logic's unrivaled position, including great customer traction, the right partners and the right technology, make them a clear leader in the email defense market. I am looking forward to contributing toward building MX Logic's exciting momentum."
