CSC Wins $74 Million Network Management Contract

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., May 27 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it has been awarded a five-year, $74 million contract to provide network management services to the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT).
Under the agreement, CSC will provide network management, operations and maintenance support to the department. Specific tasks will include network planning and engineering, implementation of an asset management system, supporting the state's intelligent transportation systems and providing training to MDOT personnel. CSC will also help MDOT establish a Network Operations Center to manage the department's network.
This contract win follows an earlier five-year agreement valued at approximately $75 million awarded to CSC in 1997. Under the previous agreement, CSC supports MDOT's network and information technology (IT) requirements.
