FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--June 2, 2004-- Affinity Internet, the leading web services provider for small to medium-sized businesses, is now offering customers the easiest and most flexible one-stop solution for their web-site needs. CreateIt! Site Builder, an extension to the award-winning Macromedia Contribute 2, allows customers to create, publish, and maintain a site with a few clicks of the mouse and no technical expertise.
Built as an extension to Macromedia Contribute 2 software, CreateIt! Site Builder is a downloadable desktop application that gives users the ability to easily create standards-compliant web sites that can then be used with any web-site editing software, including Macromedia Dreamweaver. The new software features a site-building wizard that walks users through the process of setting up the site, one-click site publishing that eliminates the need for FTP, and a 30-day demo mode that allows users to build and upload a site before purchasing a domain and a web-hosting account.
"Browser-based HTML editors cannot compare to the ease-of-use and flexibility of Contribute. We wanted our small business customers to be able to establish and manage their own web sites without hassle," said Tom Hale, senior vice president and general manager, Macromedia. "The CreateIt! Site Builder solution addresses the broader needs of small business customers by giving them ultimate control and ownership of their web presence."
Contribute 2 provides the easiest way for small businesses to update, create, and publish web content to any HTML web site, without any technical expertise. The strength of Contribute is its ability to allow customers to modify and create content for existing sites, making it extremely complementary to Affinity's new site-building and publishing tool, and creating the most flexible site builder product of its kind.
"Affinity's goal has always been to offer its customers the most effective and easy-to-use web services solutions. We understand the plight of the small business owner and think it should be just as easy for them to have and maintain a web presence as it is for an enterprise," said Peter Chambers, CEO, Affinity Internet. "Partnering with Macromedia ensures our customers will have the flexibility and ease-of-use needed for speedy online success, in addition to providing them with the first tool of its kind to allow for complete set-up and management. It also allows Affinity to fulfill our promise of bringing integrated best-of-breed web solutions to our customers."
CreateIt! Site Builder will be offered through Affinity's multiple hosting brands: ValueWeb, HostSave, and WinSave. ValueWeb customers will receive the product as a part of their hosting plans. CreateIt! Site Builder will be available to HostSave and WinSave customers for an additional cost. (Not all features are included with each hosting brand for the same cost.)
