EarthLink to Offer Internet Services Through Radioshack

As a result of a newly announced agreement, EarthLink (NASDAQ:ELNK) will now offer its award-winning suite of Internet services through more than 5,000 of RadioShack's 7,000-plus stores nationwide, making it easier than ever to sign up for EarthLink. The agreement couples RadioShack, the nation's most trusted consumer electronics specialty retailer, with EarthLink's high-speed and dial-up Internet services.
With one of the largest high-speed footprints of any ISP in the United States -- offering both cable and DSL options for customers -- EarthLink High Speed Internet service will be available to customers in almost 4,000 of the RadioShack stores that will be carrying EarthLink Internet products. RadioShack will also sell EarthLink's dial-up Internet service, featuring EarthLink Accelerator, which enables EarthLink dial-up customers to surf the Web up to five times faster than conventional dial-up services at no additional cost. Accelerator is a part of EarthLink's TotalAccess(R) 2004 software, an exclusive suite of innovative tools and services that includes spamBlocker and Pop-up Blocker(SM). EarthLink will be the sole dial-up internet provider offered in RadioShack stores.

The new agreement between RadioShack and EarthLink will include in-store merchandising of EarthLink products, employee training and EarthLink promotional activity. In addition, the companies will explore the development of new opportunities such as wireless Internet services to better fulfill the growing connectivity needs for customers.
