LogicaCMG today announced the launch of RealMMS, a Multimedia Messaging hosting service. RealMMS enables operators to offer subscribers high value multimedia services that will increase both revenues and customer satisfaction through a managed services environment.
RealMMS, located in a 24x7 data center based in Orlando, Florida, will enable carriers to completely outsource their MMS services infrastructure. This will allow operators to quickly and easily offer MMS Services to subscribers in order to benefit from the extra revenue potential offered by next-generation services. It can also act as a fast-to-market strategy for operators who need a temporary solution while an in-network platform is installed, tested and activated.
LogicaCMG's RealMMS will utilize the LogicaCMG MMS platform and be co-managed by LogicaCMG and ClearSky Mobile Media, the leading provider of hosted wireless Internet services. LogicaCMG's RealMMS customers will therefore have the added benefit of access to ClearSky Mobile Media's growing portfolio of premium MMS content that includes some well-known brand names in entertainment and sports.

LogicaCMG's Multimedia Service Centre (MMSC) and the Wireless Service Broker (WSB) will both be offered as part of the RealMMS service, thereby giving operators the chance to also offer customers wireless Internet access along with content-rich multimedia messaging. LogicaCMG's MMSC is device and network agnostic, which allows mobile operators to select the appropriate mobile devices appropriate for their subscribers.
LogicaCMG's MMS solution will offer full OSS (Operation Support Systems) support with operator's backend systems and will also allow for instant interoperability with existing multimedia capable operators. Critical functions such as transcoding, which ensures an optimum end-user experience by adapting the multimedia messages to all different handsets supported, underpin the high levels of service delivered by LogicaCMG. The presence of LogicaCMG's Wireless Service Broker (WSB) within RealMMS will also allow for WAP-based service offerings and assure mobile operators using the hosted service of seamless delivery of MMS services to subscribers.
The service will offer high availability, providing the scalability necessary to maintain the quality of service users demand from MMS services.
