ASPwebhosting.com (www.aspwebhosting.com ), having migrated their hosting equipment to datacenter provider Invotion (www.Invotion.com ) in February of 2004 is pleased to announce significant growth during the first and second quarters of 2004.
“Moving into Invotion’s facility has enabled us to double our rack growth in just four short months, something we tried to do at our previous data center but could not accomplish due to their rigid service offerings”, explained David Kopacz, CTO of ASPwebhosting.com. “Our growth is due in part to better services, increased quality technical support and, most importantly, Invotion’s flexible attitude towards their collocation customers. While our previous data center provider offered no flexibility at all, at Invotion the President and CEO listens to our needs and responds with positive changes that have enabled us to grow.”
ASPwebhosting.com, previously located in Nashville, Tennessee, had initial concerns regarding a migration several hundred miles away. As a specialized provider of hosting solutions for applications built on Microsoft ASP and ASP.NET technologies, most of their clients require 99.99% availability of their applications. As with any equipment move, a period of downtime was inevitable for most of the ASPwebhosting.com client base. For those customers that could not experience any down time, Invotion worked closely with ASPwebhosting.com, not only in planning the move, but also setting up a secure VPN tunnel between both data centers that enabled many of ASPwebhosting.com's customers to be transparently moved to new equipment prior to the planned cutover date.
“Based on our experience, many organizations express a concern that migration will be a difficult process that involves considerable time and money,” explains Mark Click, Invotion Sales Representative. “Here at Invotion we have taken the necessary precautions to ensure that downtime experienced by customers is minimal and that the move is as effortless as possible for our client.”
Kopacz agrees, “We looked around at several other datacenters. None were as professional nor had the experience moving hosting companies as did Invotion. Their pro-active policies gave us the reassurance we needed to commit to making this move happen.”
The migration process at Invotion is setup whereby members of the Invotion staff work closely with the staff of the migrating company in an effort to eliminate the hassles of moving mission critical applications and servers from one physical location to another. It is through this joint effort that migrations are completed efficiently and effectively.
“When moving to our past provider we experienced difficulty and found the process to be quite time consuming. Our previous datacenter provider said they had experience moving hosting companies, yet when we moved, we experienced significant downtime due to their inability to deliver. This time around, even though we were moving three times the amount of equipment to Invotion, with their help our move went as planned, had fewer unexpected events and took less time.” explained Kopacz. “Overall we have been very pleased with the level of service and support we have received from Invotion. I highly recommend them to any small to mid-sized hosting company needing a great deal of flexibility required to grow in this market.”
