Enterasys Secure Network Deployed at Bicocca University

ANDOVER, MA-- June 17, 2004--Enterasys Networks (NYSE: ETS), the Secure Networks CompanyTM, today announced the successful completion of a Secure NetworksTM campus upgrade for Bicocca University of Milan, Italy.

The university has deployed two of Enterasys' newest offerings, Matrix N-Series switches and NetSight Atlas Automated Security Manager (ASM), to its all-Enterasys network. The goal was to enhance the performance and security of the growing network, simplify management and implement campus-wide authentication policies and protocols.

"Biccoca University chose to upgrade our network with Enterasys for the same reason we first chose the company's technology 7 years ago: the excellent quality and performance of the Enterasys solution and the great service the company provides," said Luisella Sironi, manager of the university's telecommunications and network systems department. The network serves a large, diverse community that requires continuous availability, high performance and security. Bicocca University has 3,000 students and 1,200 employees, including 650 professors and researchers. The network serves 10 buildings, nine within a kilometer of Bicocca and a medical school in Monza.
