ANDOVER, MA-- July 22, 2004--Enterasys Networks (NYSE: ETS), the Secure Networks CompanyTM, today announced the election of Jim Sims to its board of directors. Sims becomes the sixth member of the board and its fifth outside director. Sims, who has a long, successful record of innovation, financial experience and successful company growth in the technology marketplace, is currently chairman and CEO of GEN3 Partners, a Boston- and St. Petersburg, Russia-based R&D services firm that helps Fortune 500 companies overcome barriers to developing and commercializing product innovations.

Sims also founded Concurrent Computer Corporation, which differentiated itself and became the market leader in real-time computing. He quickly grew the company to 2,700 employees before successfully taking it public. As a public company, Concurrent revenue grew to more than $400 million.
