I want to know what Cpanel is as my web host offers it with a package I need?

CPanel is a fully featured web-based control panel that runs on the server side and allows you to manage different aspects of your web hosting account, or domain name(s), through a friendly web, graphical user interface.

The idea is to delegate as much of the control and responsibility of managing your web site to you so the web host can focus its energy in more important areas. You will have the ability to manage all aspects of e-mail, files, backup, FTP, CGI scripts, and web site statistics.

Cpanel can be found operating on a range of operating systems including FreeBSD and Linux.
