Anyone recommend a merchant/payment gateway that works well with Modernbill for hosting client billing? |

| I have been using Modernbill for over a year now and have gone through more than a few a merchants and payment gateways to find something that fits my business needs. First, do you want a full status merchant or a third party merchant provider? I recommend applying for a full merchant account as the client will see your business name on their credit card invoice, as opposed, to a third party merchant, which will show theirs.
If you are based in the US, I would recommend either Echo or Authorize.NET. These two companies have been outstanding for my web design/hosting business needs, particularly, with their API support. In terms of fraud screening, I have to say Authorize.NET has the upper hand but Echo is not too far behind. I can’t say too much regarding support from either company since I rarely needed it.
