We presently work with a website consulting company who created and host our website. Our contract is ending and we're trying to compare their services to other hosting companies. |

| Susan, That is really not an easy question to answer as you have not given us much information regarding what you is in terms of your web hosting requirements. Does your web site required specialized needs such as Cold Fusion, Oracle, PHP, ASP, .NET or libraries that need particular platforms that you may not know about? If you do decide to move away from your website consulting company because of price then do your research, know what your website require and then find a more cost effective web host to manage it. If your contract is coming to an end, then no you usually don't need to pay out your existing web consulting company or buy out your data. if you pay them to complete your website, you have control of those source files and they belong to you. The only concern I have is that are you able technically to update your own website or will you continue to need assistance? That may become a key factor in your decision. Good Luck! |
