| Did you happen to delete any other system file that you might know was necessary? One thing I would do is extract the files manually from the old server's backup and extract it on your desktop. Most Unzip programs can decompress tar.gz archives without problems (at least in my experience). Then manually upload the cpanel file onto the new server. Another thing to check is the server permissions and make sure you have the appropriate access to restore the server files. Have you checked the server paths and made sure they are correct as well? Is this a brand new server with the same host or another one? You can just log a support job and they should be able to help. I hope the above helps. Nothing more frustrating when hitting hitches like this when migrating. |
