Have a query about the Plesk 7 Reloaded. Does it shut down the client’s website when they go over their bandwidth limit?

The answer is no – unless you customize Plesk and add this feature yourself. I have found out that instead of the control panel shutting down the website and throwing up a bandwidth exceeded information web page, it will continue to let the client serve pages. However, you can set up Plesk to both notify you and your client when they exceed their month bandwidth allowance. Maybe in the future, Sw-Soft can help develop more flexible features in Plesk to allow this. Although the software has its limits, I have found Plesk to be one of the better web hosting control panels available to web hosts and its users since I began using it almost two years ago.

Also, you can take a proactive approach and warn your clients when they about close to reach their monthly bandwidth limit. In doing this, your client won’t be hit with unexpected charges and you can offer them the opportunity to upgrade their account. This has worked out well with my client base and works favourably towards building good customer relationships.
