What is a dedicated server?

A dedicated server is a piece of hardware dedicated to your sole web hosting requirements. You are to administrate the server as you would please and so can install any software that you require or desire. Since the hardware is leased from the web host, if any hardware problems occur, it is the responsibility of your web host and not you who must correct the problem.

When you purchase a dedicated server plan, you do not have to share it with any of your web host’s customers and can resell the web space as you see fit.
