Is there a physical server size limit that my web hosting provider imposes? |

| This question really depends on what server co-location service you purchased as different plans often have different size limits. However, web hosts do have a standard measurement for servers called “units” i.e. 1U, 2U, 4U and so forth. However, as units get larger, it requires more space and power as it can fit more hardware components inside. Therefore, the more units you require the greater the costs will be. In addition, some web hosting companies will only accept a special type of server known as a “rack mount”, which are specially designed for remote server hosting. |
