What is ASP or Active Server Pages?

ASP is technology developed by Microsoft and stands for Active Server Pages. It is a scripting language interwoven with the use of HTML to enhance the functionality of web sites. It can also be used to develop dynamic web sites and access data stored in MySQL, MS SQL and Access databases.

To be able to render and run ASP, you will need to host your web site in a Microsoft Windows supported environment.
